Finally, the last image related to home looks towards the future of homes, as pictured above there is a guide to looking at homes outside of the university campus and looking onto becoming more independent in our living standards. Although not much is pictured above, the overall meaning I have tried to convey is much deeper than it would seem. By looking towards finding homes for the future, it gives a feeling of inevitability that despite being comfortable in my new home and despite making many new friends in the process of moving in, eventually, I will have to find a new home and repeat the process all over again, finding a new home to live in and finding new friends to live with. In order to make the image more effective in future, I would plan to have the leaflet shown above against a more plain background, so that it is clear what the intended point of focus is for the audience looking at the image.

Staying on the subject of my current home, this minimalist image shown above still stays on the topic of representing my new and current home, but shown through a more subtle and hidden meaning. Pictured above is the notice board placed in the dining area of the apartment I live in, with little bits of art created by myself and flatmates. This one relates to new friends made in the new home I currently live in, and is much more emotive than the previous image, as it relates to those who I have become close to in my time at university. Improvements that could be made to the image, however, would be to add even more the the frame, as the two objects of focus for the audience are very small and can easily be missed.

The next image presented moves on from looking at homes from the past and looks to homes in the present. Pictured above is the residence in which I have lived and will live for my first year of university. I believe the image taken is of a very high quality, with the subject of focus being very clear and the lighting of the image being very well lit too. By focusing on my new home, the emotion conveyed is one of intrigue and mystery, whilst still maintaining that homely essence each image so far has portrayed. However, there are a few corrections that could be made to the image to make it much more effective. For example, the image could have been taken somewhere that eludes the to building perhaps being more of a home, remaining on topic as the rest of the images shown so far have done.

The next image, although less emotive than the previous 2, still relates to the topic of home as a whole. The object pictured above is a product primarily known for only being obtainable in Hull, my hometown. Having grown up in Hull, I have many fond memories of meals with family and friends in which we have used chip spice. The conveyed meaning isn’t entirely clear to those who are not aware what chip spice is, but the image as a whole is well focused on the chip spice and well lit, so the subject can clearly be seen. However, as with every image, clear improvements can be made to make the image more effective. For example, the background of the image means that there are distracting factors that detract away from the subject of the chip spice.

The next image presented shows a more intimate subject, still following the topic of home. This next image is related to friends and acquaintances from back at my original home, with the focus point being the picture shown laying on the bed. There are numerous ways this image could be improved, such as, for one, choosing a better background for the image and ensuring that the point of focus is entirely on the picture. Another way to improve the image, in any case, would be could ensure the background is also blurred out, meaning any point of focus that could detract from the picture would be removed entirely.
